Our initial thought was that we would put up a standard php forum site and then build a BMX website around the forum. After doing some testing, we found the perfect solution in the social networking platform Ning. Long story short, over the course of a couple of days, a new social network/forum was created for our BMX friends and family, www.thebmxdirt.com. The response has been amazing and fellow riders, teams and tracks have all taken to creating the own user profiles and groups. It will be interesting to see how the site grows as the race season begins to heat up. One thing is for sure. It was a great race with tons of Colorado folks out for the event and we all had a great time. The team eBikestop riders had a good showing with Sophie Spalding taking 3rd on Friday, 4th on Saturday and 5th on Sunday. Wyatt Spalding had a great weekend taking 2nd Friday, 3rd Saturday and 2nd on Sunday. He was "hard charging" on Sunday and almost had his first National win. It was a great start to the year for the Spalding kids and they are already looking forward to the next big race.
